Smart Print & Labels offer a wide range of labels for use in Direct Thermal Printers (those where customers are printing an amount of variable data “in house” )
In these instances you will not be using a ribbon as the label material is chemically coated to react with heat as the print head comes into contact with it.
We do not hold Direct Thermal Labels UK on the shelf but make to order on request. Our lead time is usually 5 – 10 working days and we have available many standard cutter sizes for example:
- 50 x 25mm (1 wide)
- 76 x 50mm ( 1wide)
- 102 x 50mm (1 wide)
- 102 x 99mm (1 wide)
- 102 x 150mm (1 wide)
As with all our labels we can produce plain or printed, any imaginable size or adhesive, we can supply on rolls with 19mm, 25mm, 44mm or 76mm cores. We can also supply as continuously fanfolded as an alternative.
Direct Thermal Labels
We manufacture on either high quality “economy” or “top coated” direct thermal material. All we need to know in order to do you a quotation is the following:
- Label size?
- How many wide? (across the web)
- Are labels Plain or Printed ?(if printed how many colours)
- What adhesive do you require? (permanent or removable)
- Quantity required? (we can do a few price breaks)

If you have not got the in house equipment to print variable information & barcodes then we can do that for you using our stock labels we can print barcodes, consecutive numbers and other variable information.
Some requirements may be met by us taking a stock size and overprinting for you, in which case our turnaround is extremely quick, typically 2/3 working days. If you require a specialist material and adhesive then we may have to manufacture the “blanks” prior to overprint – typical delivery time 10 – 15 working days.
